Week 8 - Finale Dinner
This week rounded out our winter session. To celebrate how much the kids have learned and to show off some of their skills, they cooked a big meal for their families. The menu was made up of some of their favorite recipes from this session, and each team of kids owned a different dish. In the end, they served a beautiful buffet of creamy garlic pasta with chicken and veggies, roasted green beans and carrots (with creamy cilantro lime sauce on the side), Caprese grilled cheese bites, and chocolate strawberry crepes. It was great to see the kids serving their food with pride. Some of them were even brave enough to get up in front of our guests (about 40 of them) to speak about what they'd learned in the program. We're SO proud of these kids!
